BEETHOVEN 9TH SYMPHONY
First Free Methodist Church Seattle, WA
In celebration of OSSCS's Fortieth Anniversary Season, George Shangrow and the combined ensembles present Beethoven's glorious Ninth Symphony, the work that was performed to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall just 20 years ago. The "Velvet Revolution" began in the town of Leipzig where J. S. Bach wrote most of his famous works, so we include Cantata 78,"Jesu, der du meine Seele", one of his greatest cantatas. Come celebrate our anniversary and "Freedom Without Walls"!
