Sur5al in the District!
Hi all, due to feedback we've received on Sur5al, we have decided to make the event BYO Shirt in order to minimize attendance costs for everyone. Your team will now be assigned a shirt color and you will be responsible for bringing your own. New costs are $15 per person. If you have already paid, your $10 will be refunded.
The deadline for individual and team registration has been extended until July 16th.

This will be a coed/mixed-level event and is open to all roller derby teams/skaters who have passed the WFTDA minimum skills.
Maximum of 10 teams. First come, first served. Your team will be assigned a color and DC Rollergirls will provide team shirts.

Spectators are welcome - BYOC (bring your own chair). There is no admission for this event but donations are certainly encouraged. All donations will help cover travel expenses for DC Rollergirls' travel team as they gear up for bouts in Houston, Chicago, and the WFTDA playoffs.
There will also be coffee, water, and breakfast bake sale goodies available for purchase.
Skaters/Officials:
We will have second-hand gear for sale with proceeds also benefitting the DCRG Travel Team.
Our sponsor, Department of Skate, will also be on-site if you need to buy any gear or general swag.

SUR5AL IN THE DISTRICT
This Sur5al event is a half-day roller derby challenge with 10 teams of 5 playing each other twice throughout the day. Each jam last for 2 minutes and there's no calling off the jam. 5 points are awarded to the winning team, 2 points for a draw, and nothing for a loss, 1 point is also awarded to the team with lead jammer.
This event is based on the original Sur5al as created and produced by the Royal Windsor Rollergirls (RWRG) UK.
