Festival Gala Concert & Dinner
The Gala Concert and Dinner is much-anticipated part of Staunton Music Festival's summer season. The concert is preceded by a complimentary bar and a dinner prepared by Chef Eric Stamer. It is followed by a very special dessert.
The program will include songs by Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss, performed by Michael Haag (bass) and Gabriel Dobner (piano); Bohuslav Martinu's Madrigals for violin and viola, performed by Diane Pascal (violin) and Vladimir Mendelssohn (viola); and Antonin Dvorak's Five Bagatelles, op.47, performed by Erin Keefe (violin), Diane Pascal (violin), James Wilson (cello), and David Schrader (harmonium).
The setting will be the President's House at Mary Baldwin College, which is located on the MBC campus atop Cannon Hill, with a fine view of the distant mountains and the setting sun. If you fancy classical music in an intimate setting, with fine food, fine wine, and world-class performances, now is your chance. But order early. Tickets sales for this special event are strictly limited in number.
