Discover and celebrate the culture and heritage of Northeast Florida when Ian Mairs brings his popular radio variety show, "Swamp Radio" to Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College on July 18 and 19, 2014.
Swamp Radio's mission is to provide a quarterly variety show experience that celebrates the culture, art, and history of northeast Florida through a mixture of stories, interviews and music. The show's producer, Ian Mairs, was awarded an inaugural Spark Grant from the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville in 2013.
A full cast of artist-contributors is scheduled for the Lewis Auditorium performance, and will include storytellers, musicians, and other performers from both St. Augustine and Jacksonville. In addition, Swamp Radio will be hosting The Curtain Raiser, a free performing arts exposition in the Lewis Auditorium lobby. Local arts and culture groups will be on hand to provide information about upcoming events for the 2014-2015 season. Attendees will be encouraged to stroll the display area one hour prior to show time.
