American Eagle, a documentary, with producer John Rubin

John Rubin, writer-producer-director and two-time Emmy winner, will present his documentary film American Eagle - a year in the life of one of North America's most striking predators-the bald eagle. Rubin will talk about the movie, which was produced for the PBS series Nature. A period for questions will follow.

This is a fundraiser for Inland Northwest Land Trust. Light appetizers provided. Non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

John Rubin
Rubin has made a wide variety of films for television. The Living Weapon, a history of the American biowarfare program, aired on American Experience (PBS) in 2007 and earned Rubin an Emmy for outstanding achievement in research.

He is currently making a two-hour special for Nova in celebration of Darwin's bicentennial year. Rubin has made six films for the PBS series Nature including American Eagle. In addition to his Emmy as supervising producer of King Cobra for National Geographic Explorer, Rubin won the television writing prize from the National Association of Science Writers in 2002 for scripting Clone!-- also for Explorer.

Rubin is an experienced backpacker, expeditionary sea kayaker, and PADI-certified scuba diver.
