Under the direction of Dr. Jean-Marie Kent, on May 3 and 4 the Magnolia Chorale presents a program of glorious music celebrating our 25 years of service. We offer Swedish composer Ola Gjeilo's "Luminous Night of the Soul," accompanied by the outstanding Roosevelt High School Quartet; Eric Barnum's "Music in the Night," a piece commissioned by the Chorale; and John Tavener's "Song of the Angel," featuring our own soprano Marie Birve. Our founding members have chosen their all-time favorites for the second half, including "Shenandoah," "Deep River," and "Swingin' with the Saints." Join us for the inspiration and joy unique to choral music as experienced in "Magnolia Moments."
