The Bach and Wing - Live Classical Music Tap Dance Extravaganza
Known for producing highly entertaining and engaging, casual performances, Open Classical presents "The Bach and Wing Live Classical Music Tap Dance Extravaganza!" at the Latino Cultural Center on Saturday, March 22nd at 8pm. Tickets $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The eclectic, all-ages show combines live classical music with the extraordinary talents from the Rhythmic Souls Tap Company - led by Katelyn Harris and Keira Leverton. Traditional dances like the buck and wing, shim sham, sand dance, and innovative new choreography will have toes tapping and heels flying to Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi and Mendelssohn.
Open Classical director, violinist/violist and composer Mark Landson leads the live amplified chamber music group along with Thiago Nascimento, known throughout DFW for his impressive piano technique and ingenious improvisation.
Plus, intertwined between the explosive, energetic beat bits, Fun House Theatre and Film (named 2013 BEST Theater Company by The Dallas Observer) presents a humorous love-triangle story between the greatest composers of all time. Jeff Swearingen, founder, director and writer will perform the role of W.A. Mozart in the comedic sketches.
The entire show is a rare artistic combination of theater, tap dance, and popular live classical music tunes.
