The Rayburn Brothers Band
The Rayburn Brothers Band bring their California Roots Rock sound to the intimate Kuumbwa Jazz Center to celebrate the release of their new CD titled "Back To California".
Brothers Craig and Keith Rayburn write and sing songs about everything from Love to Loneliness, from the Waves of California to the Yangtze River of China, with melodies that range from dream-like through folk, blues, rock, and country to fandango. They are accompanied by an incredibly talented band of local Santa Cruz musicians, with a full sound through all the moods: Jimmy Norris on drums, Nick Heinz on lead guitar, Kevin Taylor on keys, Richard Tackland on bass, and Eliza James on vocals.
This is their second appearance at Kuumbwa. They play regularly at local and regional venues, including Don Quixotes, the Crepe Place, First Friday in Santa Cruz, Gilroy Garlic Festival, the American River Festival, and many others. Their songs can be heard on the radio, including at KPIG, KUSP, Spotify, etc.
Opening the show will be local favorite Sharon Allen.
