J. Mitchell's Tribute to Nat King Cole
At the age of 8 or 9, J. Mitchell recalls thinking Nat King Cole was a little corny or even too proper. He later began taking Cole more seriously due to his unforgettable smooth and soothing tones and acknowledges that he had quite the influence on shaping his style of vocals. As Mitchell matured, he was also inspired by the likes of Tom Jones, Sammy Davis Jr, Lionel Ritchie, and Smokie Robinson. He even sang some Blues, country, classical, and rock & roll but after all those styles "Nat remained King".
