Private Screening of new "Fly By Light" Film
GET YOUR TICKET AT THE DOOR!!!

Join us for a special evening and unveiling of the newly finished documentary film "Fly By Light." Completed just weeks ago and now being submitted to film festivals around the world, this private screening is for those from the D.C. community who would like an inside peak and opportunity to not only watch the finished 97 minute documentary, but also ask questions to the featured youth and filmmakers.

If you've received the invitation through email from a colleague or friend with the special invitation code and have gotten this far, then you are one-step away from confirming your attendance for this private event.  All proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward national distribution and  marketing of the film.

If you run any youth programs or have youth groups/ classes that you would like to bring, we have special reserved seating at no cost for you!  Email  rachel@onecommonunity.org if you want more information on how to get free tickets for your youth group.

Two and a half years in the making, the film begins in the summer of 2011, when fifteen teenagers board a bus for West Virginia, leaving the streets of D.C. for the first time to participate in an ambitious peace and conflict resolution program. Play under the stars and in mountain streams quickly turns to great personal challenge, as the teens, in a foreign environment, full of bugs, snakes, and caring adults, confront haunting demons from their past. City walls tumble down, as four remarkable teens reveal themselves to be goofy and profound, playful and serious, weak and powerful. When they return to the D.C. hustle and bustle, will the lessons learned stick? Fly By Light explores the long path to change, when young people step beyond their comfort zone and are challenged to shine.
