Broadway Sings for Pride will kickoff NYC Gay Pride 2013 by celebrating with their third annual Gay Pride benefit concert!

Broadway Sings for Pride will kickoff NYC Gay Pride 2013 by celebrating with their third annual Gay Pride benefit concert.   The special one-night benefit entitled " Unite" with join forces with American Idol and Billboard recording artistic Kimberley Locke, American Idol and Rent star Anwar Robinson and over 20 members of the Broadway community.  The concert will benefit the Hetrick-Martin Institute and Broadway Sings for Pride.  There will also be special speakers including a message of hope from Steven Guy and James Clementi of the Tyler Clementi Foundation.  The night will be hosted by award winning host from the hit show "truTV Presents: the World's Dumbest" Scott Nevins with staging by Rachele Rommes (Minnesota Timberwolves choreographer).

Audiences will join the celebration by hearing some of their favorite New York performers take on pop hits, mashups, Broadway classics as well as filling the stage with stories of LGBT pride. The event will be held at the Iguana NYC in New York City on Monday, June 24, 2012 at 8pm.

Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) is the nation's oldest and largest LGBTQ youth service organization, providing academic enrichment & job readiness programming, health & wellness services, arts & culture programming, hot meals and clean clothes. HMI provides a safe space where LGBTQ youth can express themselves, interact with a community of their peers and access resources to help them achieve their full potential. HMI serves more than 2,500 young people annually from more than 350 zip codes.
