Led by pianist and composer Bárbaro Fines Fortes - an ex-Charanga Forever, Salsa Mayor, Banda Meteoro and Alaín Daniel pianist - the 15-piece Orquesta Mayimbe has conquered the city of Lima, Perú in an amazingly short time. Lima is famous for its Cuban music scene and Mayimbe now rides at the top of the wave. Hard-core timba at its best.
