Rafer Guzman, Newsday film critic and host of NPR's Movie Date podcast, presents Alex Cox's cult classic about Otto (Emilio Estevez), a young LA punk who almost accidentally finds himself part of a bizarre subculture of auto repossession cowboys after discovering his parents have donated his college fund to a televangelist.
All of them are in search of a mysterious 1964 Chevy Malibu that is also being pursued by UFO conspiracy theorists, and a pack of government agents. Also starring Harry Dean Stanton, Tracey Walter, Vonetta McKee and Dick Rude.
