Tablao Flamenco 2013 Spring Season Finale - June 14
American Bolero Dance Company will present the spectacular 2013 Spring Season Finale of "Tablao Flamenco" at The Chian Federation in Astoria. Since 2008, the Company has been offering a slice of Sevilla to the borough of Queens with this popular series of monthly showcases, featuring live Flamenco and other styles of Spanish dance and music. Presented in a cabaret-type format and atmosphere, guests can enjoy food and drinks while being entertained by some of the finest talent from NYC and abroad. "Tablao Flamenco" re-creates the experience of being in a flamenco club, or 'tablao', in Spain, for the delight of local audiences.
Visiting dancer and choreographer JUAN SIDDI, Artistic Director and Founder of Juan Siddi Flamenco Theatre Company and recipient of the 2011 Santa Fe Mayor's Award for Artistic Excellence, joins a fabulous roster of renowned artists from the New York City flamenco community. Among them are dancers GABRIELA GRANADOS, SOL "LA ARGENTINITA", and LILIANA MORALES, singers ALFONSO CID and AURORA REYES, and guitarists RAPHAEL BRUNN and CRISTIAN PUIG. The BALLET ESPAÑOL de GABRIELA GRANADOS will also debut a stylish classical Spanish choreography set to Ravel's "Bolero".
