| Description |
A visit from Richard Shindell happens less frequently now that he lives full-time in Buenos Aires, but this year we get him twice! If you missed his show this past winter (many had to be turned away for lack of seats) heres your chance. Richard Shindell is a meticulous craftsman and one of the top artists among todays singer-songwriters. Innovative, original and occasionally spiritual, Shindell sings contemporary folk songs that champion the downtrodden, exalt the disaffected and wax empathetic to those lost to society's fringes. His repertoire ranges from lighthearted tales and love songs, to skillful skewers of politics, prejudice, war and religion. His current album, South of Delia, finds him putting a unique spin on covers such as Springsteen's "Born In the USA" and Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street."
