The dynamic Voxare String Quartet returns to the Kyo-Shin-An/Tenri concert series for a program that pairs the sounds of Japan with string quartet. A new, commissioned quintet by Chad Cannon for koto and string quartet, Australian composer Lachlan Skipworth's haunting "Light Rain" for shakuhachi and quartet, and James Nyoraku Schlefer,s "Haru no Umi Redux" a sextet for koto, shakuhachi and string quartet, will be followed by a masterwork performed by the Voxare String Quartet.
