Since age 12 "saxophone/vocalist/ composer phenomena Grace Kelly has performed over 500 concerts as a leader at prominent venues such as the Montreal and Newport Jazz Festivals, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Apollo Theater, Birdland, Boston's Symphony Hall, Dizzy's in NYC, Ronnie Scott's (London) and in venues as far away as Europe and Asia. Wynton Marsalis was so impressed that he invited her to join the ensemble in Washington, D.C. for Barack Obama's Inauguration Celebration. Harry Connick, Jr. heard Kelly in a master class on a December afternoon and brought her on stage to sit in with his band that night.
She has released seven full-length albums, including her last CD, dedicated to Phil Woods who guests on the CD. Phil said, "Hooray for the future of jazz and the alto sax! ... we don't have a clear-cut leader. Maybe Grace Kelly is the one."
