Vahagni has been nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media awards, JPF Music Awards and was the winner of the 2010 AMA Awards for Guitar album of the year. Born in Yerevan, Armenia and a local of Los Angeles since he was six years of age, Vahagni's musical development began with his father, a world-renowned classical guitarist, Srakis Turgutyan. Vahagni continued his studies in Andalucia, Spain for several years before returning to the States to embark on his professional career.
