The Vivo Trio is the melding of sounds from three musicians who are accomplished in their own right: Pianist, vocalist, ukulele player and award-winning songwriter Ruth Shiroma Foster, Hoku award-winning violinist Duane Padilla (Hot Club of Hulaville, the Hawaii Symphony), and clarinetist Norm Foster (Hawaii Symphony). The Vivo sound is warm, decidedly acoustic and retrospective. Vivo features original works by Ruth and new interpretations on a range of favorites including including Billy Joel, Elton John, Carole King, Broadway, the American songbook and more.
