The Mae Trio

The Mae Trio, already award winners before finishing school! They are Maggie Rigby (banjo, ukulele, guitar and vocals), sister Elsie Rigby (violin, ukulele and vocals and Anita Hillman (cello, bass and vocals). Their debut album, Housewarming, released in 2013 earned them Folk Alliance Australia Youth Award and NFSA Folk Recording of the Year and carried them on a bigger wave than they could ever have imagined.

A Musicians Workshop is offered by the girls! The workshop explores techniques for the arrangement and treatment of harmony, covering different approaches to group singing. This workshop is tailored for people with some singing experience, especially those comfortable holding a part. Choir experience helpful but not necessary, all ages welcome.

Ultimately The Mae Trio believe there is nothing quite like the joy of singing three part harmony at the top of your lungs. Come and feel it for yourself.
