Bemidji Symphony Orchestra's 8th annual "Holiday Concert and Messiah Sing-a-Long!"
The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Beverly Everett, presents its 8th annual Holiday Concert and Messiah Sing-a-Long on Tuesday, December 4th at 7:30 PM in the Bemidji High School Auditorium. Featured in this concert will be selections from George F. Handel's Messiah. Bemidji State University students Amanda Boring, soprano, and Lauren Skarloken, alto will be soloists.
The concert also features holiday favorites such as Carol of the Drum by Katherine Davis, Leroy Anderson's Christmas Festival, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, Let it Snow and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Also included is music from Charlie Brown's Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Audience members planning to sing along to Messiah choruses are encouraged to bring their Messiah music scores to the concert. A number of scores will be available at the door for those who need them.
Tickets for the concert are available at the door or in advance at Lueken's Village Foods North, Brigid's Pub, or online at brownpapertickets.com. For those who hold BSO Season Tickets, the Holiday Concert is included as part of the season. All seats are general admission.
