Ridgestock Music and Sustainability Expo

Ridgestock is now a long standing tradition in its 18th year. It features local and regional music, speakers on sustainable and green topics as well as a kids area. Located in the Northern California Sierra Foothills, Ridgestock brings together a variety of green topics during the day including solar, gardening tips, and featured speaker this year activist Julia Butterfly Hill. In the evening we switch to showcasing regional and local music and dance performers. This years headliner is Poor Man's Whisky, a bluegrass/southern rock sensation paired with subheadliners Mojo Green, funk favorites from Reno. Other local bands include Northern Roots, Backstar and much more. During the day enjoy a stroll around the North Columbia Schoolhouse Cultural center amphitheatre. with it's picturesque park-like grounds, visiting local vendors with their crafts, clothes or handmade wares. Informational booths from both event sponsors as well as the sustainability speakers are interspersed throughout. Food vendors are also there along with cold drinks and ice cream. At night, the lights come out and evening vendors bedeck their booths with LEDs and lanterns while Main Stage comes to life with local music and dance until 11pm.
