The Way Down Wanderers

Equal parts fast-paced and soulful, 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, draw listeners in with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show and have created a buzz for themselves with their unplugged, off-stage encores and propensity for performing self-titled, restSTOMPS - free acoustic sets at rest & truck stops along their tour routes. The bands debut album, produced by Mike Marsh of the Avett Brothers and recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso TX, is available now, wherever music is sold.

Even with the cutting, arresting voices of Collin Krause and Austin Thompson on display, the opening tune Path To Follow was all about a punchy fusion of drums and banjo. Austins vocal leads like Dead Birds had a rippling and dense quality almost like rapping. Collins songs like Blacktop Highway had more raspy tenderness. Musically there were jungle drums and mandolin in Up North, alt-Irish-country fiddle in Sweet Morning Vision and punk grass pogo drive in closer Truth, Son.  Craig Havighurst, Music City Roots

Grasshopper (opener)
Known as a seasoned Roadhouse Americana with a dose of dance-inducing psychedelic hop
Consisting of Joel Futch, guitar and vocals  known as a prolific songwriter, enjoys "basking in the jive with stringed instruments. Has an ear for angelic overtones. Possibly a trance-medium. Travis Magrane, guitar and vocals  a shape-shifter with floor pedals. Writes universal stories set to verse. Overly unpretentious, often mistook as Canadian. Steve Cowan, bass - Stalwart member of the engine room and the youngest member of the band. Maybe not the best looking, but close to it. Craig Remond, drums and vocals - attends to global crises when not drumming with verve. His early years marred by an unspeakable mishap working on a hog farm.
