The original audience killer, acerbic author and Law and Order: SVU star, Richard Belzer, brings his brand of musical comedy and commentary to Stage 72.
Belzer parodies the greats, from a young and rambling Springsteen to an 86-year-old, nebbishy Bob Dylan and more, backed up by world-class rock & rollers, Thieves, musical director and keyboardist, Joe Delia.
Opening for "Detective Munch" are the Los Angeles via Bakersfield twangers, Speedbuggy, descendents of the Southern California country tradition originated by Buck Owens and Merle Haggard.
"The Belz" is at fighting weight after the release of his sixth and most recent book, HIT LIST, which, he is proud to proclaim, can be found in the history section of all bookstores.
