| Description |
The Bucks County Symphony (BCS) is proud to announce the annual Pops Concert "Swingin Broadway Celebration" at Delaware Valley College, 700 East Butler Ave. Doylestown, PA. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 8:00 PM. The orchestra, under the Direction of Maestro Gary S. Fagin will treat the audience to a program of Broadway favorites featuring Soprano Teri Dale Hanson, Star of Broadway, Television and Opera. She will thrill the audience with a wide selection of Broadway favorites by Cole Porter, Henry Mancini Richard Rodgers and others.
Ms. Hansen has received international acclaim for her versatility. She has appeared with the Houston Grand Opera, On Broadway in, The Boys From Syracuse, and in concert with Marvin Hamlisch, Christoph Eschenbach, The National Symphony, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. The New York Times described her as having more talent than anyone in New York, and The Boston Herald said that Hearing Miss Hansen is a thrill, like watching a high wire artist.
The orchestra will play selections from Fiddler on the Roof, Les Patineurs Valse ( Skaters Waltz) and the Theme from The Pink Panther. This promises to be one of the best concerts of an already outstanding season.
The seating for this concert will be cabaret style and the audience is encouraged to bring refreshments to enjoy during the concert.
