The Museum of Tolerance and The Consulate General of Poland in Los Angeles invite you to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day with a special screening of:

ECHOES FROM THE ATTIC

at the Museum of Tolerance

In Poland during World War II the Grocholski family--a farmer, his wife and their four daughters--hid a Jewish family of 16 men, women, and children in their attic for two years.  In Echoes from the Attic, documentary filmmaker Debbie Goodstein journeys to Poland with members of the Goodstein family to visit the Grocholskis, with the intention of passing the families shared history to the next generation.  During a ceremony to honor the bravery of the Grocholski family a misunderstanding between the two families ensues, revealing the truth of what really happened in the face of the Nazis' unfathomable evil.

Special Musical Tribute - Stephanie Kupfer, Granddaughter of Holocaust Survivor Vernon Rusheen ZL.

Q&A with Filmmaker Debbie Goodstein and opportunity to meet Goodstein Family members who were hidden in the attic.

A reception will follow.
