2017 Maine Acoustic Festival Student Showcase
The Maine Acoustic Festival Showcase Concert is the annual Finale Concert to the statewide student music festival presented by 317 Main Community Music Center and North Yarmouth Academy.
Maine's finest student musicians will be coming together in concert to perform the traditional acoustic music styles of bluegrass, Old Time, Irish, Franco-American and Traditional American Vocal Harmony, all of which have shaped America's musical culture.
The Maine Acoustic Festival itself is a statewide acoustic music festival for middle school and high school students who spend three days rehearsing and participating in workshops and performances. This year the three-day Festival will feature nationally-known guest artists Tony Watt, Lauren Rioux, Hanz Araki, Brendan Taaffe and Steve Muise for ensemble workshops, coaching, performances and a Showcase Concert on:
Sunday, April 2nd at 4pm at Hannaford Hall, USM Portland, 88 Bedford Street, Portland, ME 04101.
Maine Acoustic Festival would like to thank 317 Main Community Music Center and North Yarmouth Academy for supporting this years 2016 Maine Acoustic Festival.
