Gypsy Flower Power Village is a group of kindred spirits who come together as artists and creative people to form and build a theme camp, stage for musicians, a vintage 1969 school bus "Art Car", its a psycedelic traveling Gypsy sound machine that will be leaving Seattle and traveling to 5 peace gatherings on its way to the Burning Man festival. We also build an interactive theme camp for 100 people and a large scale deep playa art project entitled blowin in the wind. This is the most unique and biggest art and human peace gathering in the United States for one week in the middle of the Nevada desert with 50,000 other artists, together we build an entire functional city and then we all participate in the entertainment of our community. We the people ARE the Burning Man Art & Entertainment Festival. Our part of the community is to build Gypsy Flower Power Camp @ Gypsy Village, create our art projects and then perform as the musicians and artists that we all are for our community. There is no monetary gain for any of us and there is no commerce at the event at all. We do it all for peace and love. BUT it does cost money to build and get all the musicians, equipment, a sound system for the bus, a sound system for the camp, shower system, functional kitchen, camp porta potties and pay for our gypsy storage units, materials we need to construct the entire camp and survive the desert. If every Gypsy can donate $100 for Gypsy Vilage we can pay for everything plus have money left over for basic food and bar supplies. If we get some bigger donations we can rent several golf carts and turn them into mutant vehicles, they would be our Gypsy taxi service. We will be located on or near the Esplanade, front and center of the event, we have some legit talent scheduled in form of 3 live bands and several DJ's artists and a vast array of dancers. Most of all were a bunch of kool kats in a camp with a groovy, psycadelic art theme from the 60-70's goin on.
