Lisa Vazquez is an Argentine bred, Oregon raised hip hop producer, vocalist, drummer and songwriter. She has been gaining momentum in the scene by touring nationally and sharing bills with artists like Talib Kweli, Chali 2na, KRS One, and Lyrics Born to name a few.
She creates a one woman show using a looper to layer her drum sampler, vocals and bass synth. Her influences range from old school hip artists like Tribe Called Quest, Mobb Deep, The Roots and Jurassic 5 to soul singers like Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu.
Currently Lisa resides in Portland Oregon where she has been focusing on self producing her debut album which she has already released her first single off of called Oscillate. ASCXNSION is a indigenous Femcee and producer born and raised in St. John's, Portland OR. Exposure and experiences with domestic violence, sexual assault, racism and sexism from a young age molded ASCXNSION to utilize her music and poetry as a way to speak out and reflect on these kinds of issues. Her multi-faceted style consisting of hip-hop, Neo-soul and folk influences make her a unique musician and artist overall.
Her EP is titled "EXCHANGED" and is a project that aims to tell her story as a woman of color and a reflection of her environment and experiences. Old school hip hop mixed with trap/soul vibes. Her goal is to radiate divine feminine power.
