Brexit & Film: No Frame is an Island
"Artists are the proverbial canaries in the coal mine."
No Frame is an Island is a body of work that comes together to build a cinema experience around the visions of young filmmakers all over Scotland. It is a democratic, artistic statement in response to Brexit, and here it screens to the public and politicians.
Beginning as a non-partisan challenge to filmmakers, the project gathered over 60 collaborators who submitted one-take, 30-second films. This screening explores the idea that every frame in a film is defined by the one that comes before it and after it. No matter how each of us voted, we stand together. A live string score will be performed alongside the film.
Delivered by Young Filmmakers Glasgow and UNDIVIDED.
