John was named the Best Singer Songwriter by Hawaii Magazine in 2008. This well-earned reputation became even more solidified when he released his long-awaited second album, One of These Days in 2007. It debuted firmly at #1 in Hawaii, #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and #6 on the Billboard World Chart.
Award winning and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter,Henry Kapono! Henry has taken home numerous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year. He is also the author of the award winning children's book, A Beautiful Hawaiian Day, has appeared in the films, Damien and Waterworld and has made many television appearances. Known as "Kapono", he is a pure Hawaiian born and raised in Kapahulu, his music transcends his Hawaiian Heritage which he prides so much and embodies the spirit of Aloha that he has for all people.
2011,Na Hoku Hanohano Award winer,traveling singer songwriter and award winning producer from Honolulu,Kamuela Kahoano. Kamuela has also written, and co-written (with artists from all over the US), a total of over 200 songs/musical poems. He was dubbed the Happy Music Maker since college, and has since then played over 2000 gigs. MānoaDNA, this talented family band brings 3-part harmony, upbeat sounds, and infectious enthusiasm to every stage. Their first three U.S. albums generated seven Na Hoku nominations and won the 2007 Hawaii Music Award for Contemporary Album of the Year, and solo ukulele performance by Kimo Hussey of the pacific music foundation, with Years of musical experiences teaching and playing throughout the world.
There will be a very special keiki Hula performance from the children of the Hālau Nā Wainohia with multiple Na Hoku Hanohano award winner,award-winning recording artist, composer, television personality, stage actor, producer, director, and kumu hula Tony Conjugacion.
All proceeds to benefit ryanslight.org a non profit organization founded in memory of our son Ryan Wagner who passed away on July 29th 2011 at the age of 6 to Non Hodgkins lymphoma. Ryan's light foundation's mission is to provide music therapy and musical instruments to pediatric oncolgy patients in Hawaii. Non members of the yacht club need only to purchase a ticket to the event to gain entry to the yacht club on December 23rd. This is a show you wont want to miss out on. There will be a silent auction as well as a 50/50 raffle. The Hawaii Yacht Club is one of the most picturesqe venues in Honolulu,among the best views on the south coast of Oahu with two lanais to enjoy a cocktail on, as well as an upstaris and downstairs bar. Plenty of open air seating and indoor seating as well,the Hawaii Yacht club is the true "Gathering Place."
