Beethoven, Mozart, Faure'
Beethoven's Mass in C is generally considered one of his best pieces for its incredibly personal expression married to a perfection of form. Written at the time of his 5th and 6th symphonies, The Mass in C reveals the mature Beethoven at his most sublime. Opening the program are two sprightly and familiar classics by Mozart, including the ever-popular Exsultate Jubilate. Classical Idol award winner Alisa Peterson, a brilliant soprano, graces the Hochstein Performance Hall stage.
