Join two of the preeminent leaders in social media marketing in the music industry for an exclusive event, sharing practices andtechniques to build an audience, make valuable connections, and create new opportunities for you and your music.

Morning: The Essentials (3 hours)
There's more to social media than posting the odd photo to Facebook and Tweeting from a concert. There's a psychology behind it. Learn fan engagement, how to build your brand, and how to reach your target market.

Afternoon: Advanced (3 hours)
All of the social media connections in the world don't move your career forward if you don't know how to monetize. Putting more advanced, yet accessible, practices to use will help distinguish you from other artists trying to reach the same audience.

Brian Thompson is a Vancouver-based creative coach, consultant and a music marketing mentor. He's the guy behind Thorny Bleeder, The DIY Daily Newsletter & Podcast, The Music Biz Weekly and The Rock Star Branding Podcast.

Throughhis writing, speaking engagements, teaching, webinars and endless podcasts, Brian has emerged as a vital and wellrespected voice on the convergence of artist development, marketing, social media and technology.

Chris Brandt wrote the curriculum for the Music Business program at the Nimbus School of Recording Arts, and is a past-president of Music BC. In the last 2 decades he has worked for a major label, managed bands, owned his own label andbeen a magazine music editor.

He is now the executive director of Music Heals  a charity supporting music therapy initiatives across Canada.
