Dana Lyons Concert

Join us for an evening with Dana Lyons, a wonderful Pacific NW performer who defies description. (There's a great bio of him at his website http://www.cowswithguns.com/cgi-bin/home.cgi if somehow you haven't discovered him yet!)

This fall and winter, Dana is doing shows along the route of the proposed increased traffic of coal trains from Billings, MT to Bellingham, WA. He is raising awareness of the impacts these trains will have on communities along the way. Many groups, including NO COAL TRAINS THROUGH PUYALLUP & SUMNER (https://www.facebook.com/groups/407258495986247/) are opposing these trains and there will be information at the event.

But even if you aren't that interested in the politics, this guy puts on a great show! Treat yourself to a wonderful evening of music, comedy, deeply-touching ballads, and just all-around-good fun! AND there will be food!

Start the evening with a potluck at 5 pm. Meet and greet your neighbors and friends old and new! Bring a dish to share if you can. (You'll need to bring all your own set ups - plate, cup, silverware, napkins, etc - since there isn't a kitchen at the center.) We're working on getting beverages but will at least have water.

Dana's concert will start at 7 pm. If you can't make it to the potluck, you are welcome to join us for the concert.

We use a sliding scale for entrance and are asking $8-10 to cover the expenses of Dana and renting the Manitou Center. No one will be turned away for lack of funds and there is always plenty of food so join us even if you're not in a position to be able to bring any yourself. You can pay at the door or buy your tickets here ahead of time so we have an idea how many chairs to set up! (Only $10 tickets are available online.)
