Ojai Film Society and Ojai Art Center Present: For the Love of Spock
The beloved series Star Trek was a touchstone of the sixties, and one actor who made his career as a result of it was Leonard Nimoy. In this loving tribute by son Adam Nimoy, the life and acting/directing career of his father is laid bare. At times hilarious, informative, conflicted and emotional, the relationship between father and son is tested in the cauldron of the Hollywood star machine. That both men emerged as full and creative human beings is not so much striking as inevitable, given the commitment to personal excellence, as evidenced by on-film interviews with a great number of colleagues, from William Shatner to George Takei to Neil deGrasse Tyson and Zoe Saldana.
"...known for creating the mixed alien and human outsider, Spock, in the 1966 Star Trek television series, [;Nimoy]; will never be forgotten." -Liz Calvario, indiewire.com.
