Tables of Istanbul captures the personal story of Zeynep Kiliç, an immigrant originally from Turkey whose vocation is a sociologist but her passion is exploring Turkish cuisine. The documentary investigates Turkish finer foods. She discusses Istanbuls food movements through conversations with chefs, restaurateurs, researchers, food writers, activists and families. Our performer, Rabia is also Turkish transplant to Alaska. In Alaska, she uses music and dance to link and build bridges across the continents.
