Color Field Festival for Contemporary Music
The Color Field Festival is an immersive music weekend for adventurous listeners, featuring two days of concerts and events, virtuosic performances by cutting edge ensembles, and new works by composers from around the world.
Showcasing Concert Black, Quince Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, and composer/clarinetist/artist Alejandro T. Acierto, this is sure to be an inspiring and energized weekend filled with one-of-a-kind performances.
$10 for each Bartell Theatre event, or $15 for BOTH. Details below:
Events 8/10/2012 @ 11:00am: "ATRIA" FREE! by Jamie Leigh Sampson and Andrew Martin Smith presented by ADJ-ective New Music, LLC Goodman South Madison Library
8/10/2012 @ 7:00pm: Music and Cocktails at the Bartell Theatre $10 ($15 for Friday AND Saturday) An evening concert event featuring an installation by Alejandro Acierto, and performance by Concert Black
8/11/2012 @ 12:00pm: Outside Music Downtwon Madison, WI FREE! One piece will be selected to be performed in the Capitol Square of Madison in an outdoor musical experience.
8/11/2012 2:00-8:00pm: Musical Expanse at the Bartell Theatre $10 ($15 for Friday AND Saturday)
This six-hour concert event will highlight solos of the highest virtuosic level, electric chamber ensemble chemistry, technical innovation, and an incredible collage of musical trends from the past 30 years.
