World Winds at Sea of Glass
World Winds Performing at The Sea of Glass Sat. September 24th An ensemble of music and musicians from Turkey, Croatia, Finland and the U.S. who play original, contemporary and traditional forms of music. The collective efforts of World Winds and Anatolia, come together like a fresh breeze from different corners of the world. Influences from Finnish Lapland, Turkey, and Spain come together to create music that is dynamic, refreshing, deep, enchanting, and authentic. This music consist of the ethereal vocal chants of Kathi Huhtaluhta of Finland and Mustafa Kilcak of Turkey, the percussive genius of Jan Halvax of Amsterdam and the classically trained harpist Vesna Zalusky on piano. Also featured are the Flamenco inspired guitar rhythms of David Zalusky as well as the unique sound of the baglama played by Ismail Bahadir Kuzucu of Turkey. These artists come together to make you feel like the wind; transporting you to different places and providing you with a unique and moving cultural experience.
