Roller Derby: Hamilton vs. Kitchener
On July 14th, the Hammer City Roller Girls have a one-two punch of bare knuckle derby on the scorecard. Doors open at 5:00 pm with the first whistle at 6:00 pm.
First up, and for the first time ever in the Hammer: a junior roller derby showdown, featuring skaters from Southwestern Ontario and Buffalo (including Toronto Junior Roller Derby and Queen City Roller Girls' Ice Ice Babies). These pugnacious pups range in age from 9-18, so come cheer the fight from these small feats of might.
The main event takes place around 8:00 pm, when the Hammer City Harlots go toe-stop to top-stop against the Tri-City Roller Girls' Total Knockouts. The TKOs are coming off a win over London's Lunch Ladies, and the Harlots, who are riding a victory themselves (over Royal City's Violet Uprising), will be looking to sting them hard on the flat track.
Location: Dave Andreychuk (Mountain) Arena, 25 Hester St., Hamilton Doors at 5:00 pm, first whistle at 6:00 pm.
