TTC present Pirates of Penzance
The Theater Company present THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE: Music: Arthur Sullivan, Libretto: W. S. Gilbert, Adapted & Directed by: Clara Barton Green, Musical Direction by: David Zimmerman, Choreography by: Susan Mitchell
THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, or The Slave of Duty, is the story of Frederic, who, having completed his 21st year, is released from his apprenticeship to a band of tender-hearted pirates. Upon his release he meets and falls in love with Mabel, the daughter of Major-General Stanley, and shortly thereafter finds out that due to a trick clause in his apprenticeship, he has actually not been released from his indentures. Will Frederic betray his new-found love in favor of his duty? And what of the pirates who are plotting revenge against the Major-General for having cheated them out of plunder?
