Carla, a writer on deadline, needs an easy job that will allow her to complete her romance novel before the week is through. When she lands a position at Cosmos Laundromat, she believes life will be easy, but when she encounters the locals, she discovers that life is not what is seems. Everyone has a story, including Ruby and Layla, a grandma and pregnant granddaughter, John, the violin-playing vending machine repairman, Johnny B., the charming drug dealer, Mooch, whose clothes are always found in another customers laundry load, Janet, an overwrought mother of nine and Sharon, a young newlywed who has a surprising connection to Carlas past.
Will Carla finish her novel on time or will she have to go back to the beginning and start over?
