LOS ABANDONADOS:
The Simon Wiesenthal Center | Museum of Tolerance and The Algemeiner invite you to the West Coast Premiere Screening of
LOS ABANDONADOS: A Bombing, An Investigation, A Cover Up, A Murder
Sunday May 8, 2016 7:00p.m. at the Museum of Tolerance
In 1994, the largest attack in the Western Hemisphere prior to September 11, occurred in Buenos Aries, Argentina. The bombing of the AMIA, a Jewish community center, took the lives of 85 and injured hundreds. Following extensive investigations, prosecutor Natalio Alberto Nisman accused Argentinas president Christina Fernández de Kirchner, along with other government officials of covering up Irans alleged role in the bombing. Four days later, Mr. Nisman was discovered dead from a gunshot wound to the head, just hours before the prosecutor was set to present his findings to Argentinas Congress. Through first-person reporting, this compelling film tells the story of the attack, investigation and death of Mr. Nisman.
