Why Not Home? Philadelphia Premiere
Reservations are now closed but you can still come! Doors open at 6:30.
PhilaU and the Pennsylvania Affiliate of ACNM are hosting a free screening of "Why Not Home?"
"Why Not Home?" is a documentary film that tells the story of doctors, nurses, and midwives who have attended hundreds of hospital births, yet chose to have their children at home. This film is a groundbreaking look at risk, safety, and the experience of childbirth in America through the unique perspective of hospital birth professionals who chose home birth for their own birth experiences. It has the potential to reach beyond the current base of support for home birth and speak to professionals, policy makers, and parents who might otherwise be skeptical of birth outside of the hospital.
Come enjoy networking at 6:30 before the 7PM screening.
