Choralfest Jazz Spotlight Concert 2016
Choir Alberta presents the Choralfest Jazz Spotlight Concert, April 9 at the Ironwood Stage and Grill.
Featuring performances by Toronto's HEATHER BAMBRICK (Female Vocalist of the Year at Canada's National Jazz Awards), renowned Edmonton based ensemble 'NUF SED, and Calgary's outstanding LORD BEAVERBROOK HARD CHORAL.
The show starts at 9:00pm at Ironwood Stage and Grill (1229 9 Ave SE, Calgary).

HEATHER BAMBRICK Heather Bambrick is in demand as a vocalist, voice actor, broadcaster, and educator. On stage, Heather is a consummate entertainer, bringing audiences to their feet at some of the countrys most prestigious music festivals Jazz clubs, and concert halls. Her live shows are a combination of timeless songs, brilliant musicianship, and Heathers unique sense of humour all adding up to pure entertainment. For this, and more, shes been named Female Vocalist of the Year at Canada's National Jazz Awards.
Heather is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, and has taught at both U of T and Humber College. When not in the classroom, Heather is busy as a clinician and vocal coach at schools and music festivals across Canada.
'NUF SED The 2015/16 edition of Nuf Sed is comprised of eleven singers with a focus on contemporary music. This ensemble sings a wide range of music from Gospel to jazz to pop. They are equally comfortable with rhythm section or performing a cappella. The group will be a featured guest performer at the Whistler Cantando Festival. Nuf Sed is directed by Scott Leithead.
LORD BEAVERBROOK HARD CHORAL The Lord Beaverbrook Hard Choral Vocal Jazz ensemble is an auditioned group of singers in grades 10, 11, and 12. Their repertoire includes jazz standards as well as a variety of challenging ensemble repertoire. This group regularly works with vocal jazz professionals and enjoys participating in festivals and workshops both locally and abroad. Hard Choral is directed by Heidi Wood
