"Winding Down" at the Piano with David Nevue
Join pianist/composer David Nevue on Saturday, April 2nd at 7 PM for an evening of piano music at the intimate and beautiful Wildish Theater in Springfield OR.
In this one-time-only performance, award-winning pianist David Nevue will be performing music from latest album, "Winding Down." In a recent review, posted at Zone Music Reporter, the album was described by writer Bill Binkelman as Nevue's "Pieta, his Mona Lisa, his Aida, his Gone With The Wind, his Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.... his pinnacle of artistry."
Nevue will be performing "Winding Down" at this show in almost it's entirety. It's the ONLY concert performance where he will be performing many of these compositions.
Mr. Nevue is one of this generation's most well-known and beloved pianists. His albums include Overcome, which won "Best Instrumental Piano Album of 2005" at the Lifestyle Music Awards. He tours several times a year, and has performed concerts with David Lanz, Wayne Gratz, Peter Kater, Suzanne Ciani and dozens of other pianists. Nevue's piano stylings reflect a wide variety of musical influences, including the Irish band Clannad, Chopin, George Winston and even the progressive rock band Rush, but he is best-known for his melodic, peaceful style, and for the spiritual quality of his music.
In a concert setting, Nevue shares the stories behind the songs, giving insight into the music and what inspired it. His concerts are interactive and engaging and offer a musical experience that is unique and uplifting. Come out for a wonderful evening of music!
Tickets are $20 for Adults and $10 for Students.
