Cinema 3.0
Screening of Amir Jaffer's latest short films:
1) Chief - After immigrating to the U.S. in 1999, Sonja Ohldag was diagnosed with a Seizure Disorder. She relies on the help of Service dogs so she can live her life to the fullest. Since she can't afford to get a service animal from an organization, she trains them herself. With her previous Service Dog retired, Sonja takes her chance with Chief: a Cairn Terrier mix that is not your stereotypical Service Dog.
2) My Life in Dance - At ninety Miguel Santos continues to share his love of Flamenco on stage and in workshops in San Francisco. He joined Theatre Flamenco in 1968, which is one of the oldest running Flamenco Dance company in the United States. In this short biopic, Miguel traces his artistic journey and shares events of his life that took him across the United States and to Spain, where he learned from the legends of Flamenco like Jose Greco and Antonia Morales. He lives with his partner of 55 years, and continues teaching Flamenco, and promises to dance until he can't anymore.
3) Love Story for Paco - Unable to discern between his past and present, and between reality and make-belief, Jordan writes his stories to remember and to keep his sanity in this intriguing and edgy Thriller, starring Frank Fanucchi, Denny Jacobs, Isaac Benjamin and Josephine Zeitlin.
