Being.
Being. is a collaborative split-bill production from Seattle dance artists Angelica DeLashmette, Kelsey Diane Hamon and Sarah M.F. Oxford that will premiere at Velocity Founders Theater on April 1st and 2nd 2016 in Seattles Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Being. will debut two unique dance works examining ideas around human existence.

DeLashmette will present her latest contemporary dance and new media ensemble work that investigates the idea that we are eternal beings, without a beginning or end. The idea that we did not come to be out of nothing, but always existed as intelligences; matter unorganized, which became organized into form. The work extends its inquiry to link time with timelessness, suggesting that the linear time we currently experience is a foreign time dimension. Original sound score for the work created by composer and musician Madeleine Cocolas, and visual technology created and designed by dance media artist Bryon Carr.

Sarah M.F. Oxford and Kelsey Diane Hamon will perform and present their work in collaboration with installation artist Antonia Price. Their new work will explore what it is to be human, the different aspects of ourselves, how they interact with each other, and how those interactions affect and are played out in our interpersonal relationships with others.
