Join us for an inspiring night of film and activism! The Wild & Scenic Film Festival, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, is making its debut in Morehead, Kentucky, on Saturday, February 6th, 2016, featuring 15 stunning, inspiring films, and showcasing regional businesses who support outdoor recreation in Kentucky, as well as groups who work on outdoor recreation and environmental issues. Kentucky Heartwood and the Sheltowee Trace Association are thrilled to be partnering to bring the film festival to the spacious and welcoming Morehead Conference Center.
The Wild and Scenic Film Festival informs, inspires and ignites solutions, and creates positive probabilities to restore the earth and human communities. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival was started by the watershed advocacy group, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) in 2003. The festival's namesake is in celebration of SYRCL's landmark victory to receive "Wild & Scenic" status for 39 miles of the South Yuba River in 1999.
