Passage to Cuba
Help Santa Cruz County Revitalize our Relationship with the community of Guamá, Santiago Province, Cuba! Our special relationship began in 2003, but languished under Bush era travel restrictions. It's time to re-connect to the people in this special part of Cuba rarely seen by tourists.
From 2-4 pm:
~ Book Talk by New York author and photographer, Cynthia Carris Alonso
~ Speakers include Congressman Sam Farr, County Supervisor John Leopold, Santa Cruz Sister Cities Committee Member Enda Brennan
~ Workshops on Sustainable/Organic Ag in Cuba, Cuban Music, the Cuba Caravan/LASM, and Sierra Club Bike Trip
From 4-6 p.m. Dancing with the salsa band Broken English!
