The end of 1942 in Warsaw. Peak of the occupation terror. In the ghetto after the "great action" has survived tens of thousands of Jews. A group of people constitute an underground organization "Zegota", aimed to rescue survivors and to help those who are hiding on the "Aryan" side. Who were the people who guided by humanitarianism, and sometimes by simple instinct of pity risked their lives to save others? What they had to make decisions? How they get the bread to feed them? How did feel Jewish children, suddenly separated from their parents and thrown into an unknown environment?
